Really???

*

I have never been a fan of Peta, but this is a horrible comparison. They will never gain my support by doing things like this.

PETA only works via shock value, which is why i don't support PETA despite my pro-animal vegetarianism. i wrote them a letter once, telling them that their sexist advertising didn't mesh with my feminist values which sucks because they're on the forefront of animal rights organizations and i'd like to support them. they shrugged off my complaints, basically saying that they "had several campaigns" and that one of them would surely suit me--like i was supposed to watch one hand while i ignored what the other was doing.

as far as i'm concerned, they make a lot of ugly decisions--but talking about them just gives them attention which just encourages their nasty attention seeking behavior. ignore the PETA. it needs sunlight to thrive.

  3. D.B.M-G - My daughter is a vegetarian and although we haven't discussed it recently, I'm pretty sure she's no fan of Petas either.

Lady B - They are are just a vile group.

  6. I've been a vegetarian for 20 of my 35 years, and I think PETA went off the deep end a long time ago. Their recent stunt where they dressed up like the KKK to protest a dog show was way over the line.

  7. I love animals but PETA seems so extreme.
