Sometimes I just don't think things through.

.
Remember that other blog (which one??) I started at the end of last year?  The one I used WordPress for?  Ugh.  I wasn't concerned about only having one, sometimes two readers.  But honestly, I felt like I couldn't breathe over there!  I felt stifled, I couldn't .. MESS WITH ANYTHING!

So when you're frustrated in a situation like that, what do you do?  Sit back and think about the best options.  Is there a way to move the content?  Is there a way to export the template .. how would you work it out?  And once you had a plan, you would work away until you had the new site just the way you wanted it before you put something up on the old site saying I'VE MOVED .. or find another way to redirect traffic.

You wouldn't just delete the offending blog, would you?

Then I guess you're not me.

I Know, Right has moved.  To Blogger, where I can mess with stuff.

  1. WHAT?
Moved, 5 blogs, and getting a little housework done. Oh did I mix conversations????
I complain at least once a day about not having time for... and time for... and you have 5 blogs. I thought I spent too much time in front of the computer, watch as we get older we are all going to have some sort of disorder called computer face. I can't wait to see what that looks like. You are right though, you're not a hoarder. I'm sending help.
All joking set aside. I purchased peiblog.ca thought I could just do what you are doing or talking about, move my wordpress over. After a day of deliberation and sweat I came to the only conclusion that each page had to be moved individually. Then we found an option in wordpress that allows the export. Seems you are one step ahead of me and don't need that info though. I love the kitty and when I get my business web site finished I'll be working on my peiblog.ca

  2. I don't blame you for moving. I get easily frustrated and it is not fun. Glad you didn't delete it.

  3. WP is great - lovely themes, loads of plug-ins but it lacks that wonderful page element view that makes moving things so much easier. I am not surprised you moved back.

  4. Plug-ins? Now don't give me a reason to go back!
